PINEAPPLE Express star Seth Rogen is enjoying a comedic purple patch, but he stays serious long enough to defend his comedy Knocked Up from his female co-star.

In July last year Seth Rogen co-starred with Katherine Heigl in one of the most profitable comedy hits of the year, Knocked Up.

The film cost $35 million but made $234 million around the world in yet another success story for writing/directing comedy superstar Judd Apatow.

But five months later Heigl told Vanity Fair she found the movie ‘‘a little sexist”.

Today Rogen is in Melbourne with his co-star Danny McBride to promote the next flick from the Apatow comedy assembly line, Pineapple Express. Read the rest of this entry »

Despite rumours that Katherine Heigl’s character Izzie Stevens will have a brain tumour in the upcoming season of “Grey’s Anatomy,” executive producer Shona Rhimes says the news is not true.

According to E! News, Rhimes says that although Izzie won’t undergo any personal medical crisis, “interesting sparks” will fly between Alex and Izzie – following their season finale hook-up.

When Katherine Heigl opens her mouth, people listen. They don’t always like what they hear.

If the media love a celebrity lightning rod, then Heigl certainly delivers the goods. The Emmy-winning actress has taken heat for her blunt public comments and doesn’t seem to give two winks.
According to her detractors, the “Grey’s Anatomy” star’s outré behavior includes: demanding a higher salary in contract negotiations with ABC; slamming the megahit comedy “Knocked Up,” in which she starred with Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd, as “a little sexist” in painting women as “humorless and uptight” and men as “lovable, goofy”; and, recently, refusing to seek an Emmy nomination because “Grey’s” writers failed to deliver the goods for an awards-worthy performance. Katherine Heigl has no plans to start a family with husband Josh Kelley just yet, because the pair is “too busy” to consider parenthood.

The “Grey’s Anatomy” star married singer/songwriter Kelley in December, but the couple insist they are currently too focused with their careers to try for children.

Heigl tells People.com, “It’s nothing that we’re talking about right now.

We’re pretty busy.”

And Kelley, 28, also claims his top priority is his music: “I’ve been trying to tour a little less. Basically by touring less, I’ve been making more music.”
